Hybrid Products

This home uses a combination of PVC and Urethane, including PVC Column Wraps, PVC beadboard, trim and sheets, and polyurethane brackets, arches and louvers.
PVC and polyurethane compliment each other. They both have similar performance benefits in that they won't split, chip, or flake. They both have consistent quality from piece to piece and use standard woodworking tools for installation. In addition, the material attributes make them a perfect match for custom product assemblies.
The Right Product For The Right Application
Polyurethane, due to the moulding process, is better suited for detailed, decorative trim, and complicated shapes. PVC is best suited for applications that require straight lengths of trim, milled profiles, or use close to the building grade. With matching benefits and performance, PVC and polyurethane can be used together in the same project, allowing you to choose the right product for the right application.
Both materials can be painted. Since PVC is a thermoplastic polymer, it must be painted with a paint that has a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 54% or higher. There are many special formulated paint systems that will allow dark paint colors to be applied to PVC with low heat absorption.
